SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Burger King is bearing all the expenses and buying all the gifts for the wedding of a couple from Illinois with a fascinating connection to the fast food restaurant chain. Joel Burger and Ashley King acknowledged the company’s proposal on Monday.
The State Journal-Register states that the pair has been known as Burger-King since they were in the fifth grade together, in New Berlin nearby Springfield.
The couple pronounced their engagement this spring with a photo subsequent to the sign at a local Burger King restaurant. Even though a woman’s name usually comes initially in an engagement announcement, they decided to flip their titles.
A Burger King Representative states the company sensed an irresistible urge to support the happy couple celebrate their future marriage.
The Burger-King marriages will be held July 17 in adjacent to Jacksonville.
