Chaudhry Hamid Nasir Chattha (Urdu: حامد ناصر چٹھہ) is a popular politician from the Gujranwala city, Punjab, Pakistan. He was born on the day of November 15, 1944 at Lahore. Hamid Nasir Chattha is presently a Member of Punjab Assembly, Pakistan after losing in the year of 2008 National Assembly elections. He was previously elected as an MNA in the years of 1985, 1990, 1993, and 2002 from his constituency of Gujranwala. Married, he is the father of 2 sons and 2 daughters.

Early career of Hamid Nasir Chattha
Hamid Nasir Chattha attended Aitchison College in the city of Lahore. He acquired his bachelor’s and master’s degree in political science from the institute of Government College Lahore in 1966 followed by Bar-at-Law from Lincoln’s Inn, London. He was not capable to complete his Bar at Law exam due to his father’s death.
Between the time periods of 1981–1985, Hamid Nasir Chattha served as Provincial Minister of Punjab holding the portfolio of Health and Education. He then went on to serve as Speaker of the National Assembly from the time period of 1986–1988.
As a federal minister, he held the portfolio of Information and Broadcasting and Science and Technology during 1985–1986 and later the portfolio of Planning during 1990–1993. He was the chairman of the special committee of Kashmir with the status of federal minister. He is considered to be one of the most influential politicians of Pakistan respected by friends and foes. His party has had 2 chief ministers of the Punjab and one foreign minister when his party was a coalition partner with PPP. Hamid Nasir achieved one of the greatest majorities in the Punjab in the 1985 party less elections.
He joined PTI in the year if 2016 and is nowadays considered a leftist leader within the PTI.
