DUBAI: Instead of late heroics by Ravi Bopara, Islamabad United got their 1st win in Pakistan Super League (PSL) beating Karachi Kings by merely 2 runs here at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on the day of Sunday.
The England all-rounder hit a massive 6 on the penultimate ball of the innings leaving his side with merely 4 more to win but was fail to hit the boundary on the last ball of Shane Watson. He made 32 off 19 balls with two fours and as many sixes.
Imad Wasim scored 29, Shakib Al Hasan 20 and Iftikhar Ahmed 19 for the team of Karachi Kings.
Saeed Ajmal got 3 wickets while Andre Russell, Mohammad Sami and Rumman Raees shared a wicket each for United.
Previously, Islamabad United batsmen set an aim of 133 for Karachi Kings after being limited to 132 for the loss of eight wickets in the 6th match of inaugural Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20 tournament.
