Muhammad Ayub Sabir: The Honorable Writer of Pakistan

Muhammad Ayub Sabir is an honorable Pakistani writer. He has got Pride of Performance award from Government of Pakistan for his literary works.

Personal life of Muhammad Ayub Sabir

Sabir was born in the region of Haripur, Pakistan. He has lived in Abbottabad and presently is living in the capital city of Islamabad. He got his Master of Arts degree in Urdu language from Peshawar University, Peshawar, Pakistan. He acquired M.Phil degree on Iqbal studies from Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad and PhD in Urdu Language from Punjab University, Lahore. He has 3 kids, Faiza Khan, a daughter, and 2 sons, Fahd Ayub and Faiq Ayub. His wife Shirin Ayub is painting artist.

Career

Muhammad Ayub Sabir has researched on Iqbal studies, Urdu language and Islamic Philosophy. He has 32 years (1963 to 1995) involving 16 years of teaching of post-graduate level at Government Post Graduate College Abbottabad and Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has served as the head of the department of Iqbal Studies at Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad from the time period of 2006 to 2008 and as chairman of the Department of Urdu at Government Post Graduate College Abbottabad from the time period of 1981 to 1986. He has traveled to the United Kingdom (UK) for the study and research on Iqbal. He has attended and been invited to several conferences in India.
